YOU WILL SURVIVE

YOU WILL SURVIVE

Sometimes it feels like the pain is unbearable.  There are days you don’t want to get out of bed.  The person you thought was your soulmate no longer wants to be married to you.  You were blindsided and didn’t see this coming. How could this happen to you?  As a couple, you had weathered the storms.  You figured that your golden years would be a breeze and now this.  What happened to the plans the two of you made to travel after retirement?  You look around and ponder, where do you go from here?  First off, let me remind you that you are a survivor. This is just a hiccup in the journey we call life.  Put on your big girl panties and forge ahead.  You are at this point in your life for a reason.  God has redirected your path to allow you to soar to new heights.  Your life is about to take a turn for the best.  So, hold onto your saddle and prepare for the ride.  If you need a boost, listen to Destiny’s Child’s Survivor or Diana Ross’ I will Survive Songs.  You will get stronger as the days go on.  It is important to have a good support system.  I cannot stress this enough.  Learn how to relax.  Spend time alone.  Go see a good movie.  Theaters have opened back up.  Remember to laugh.  Take in a good comedy picture.  Watch your favorite stand-up comedian.  Laughter is the best medicine.  If you are still not comfortable going out in public, there’s always Netflix and Amazon for watching your favorite movies and shows.  Also, do some form of exercise on a regular basis.  Adopt a healthy diet.  After all, no one can take care of you better than you.
